YWCA San Diego County empowers individuals and families to break the cycle of domestic violence and homelessness, and achieve self-sufficiency. Building upon a historic legacy, we are dedicated to empowering women, eliminating racism, and advocating for peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people. YWCA serves all genders of adult and child survivors who are experiencing domestic violence. With a trauma-informed approach, we deliver life-changing crisis interventions, safe shelter and housing solutions, and integrated services to empower survivors to gain independence and build a solid foundation for strong, vibrant futures. Together with the YWCA national network, we have been at the forefront of the most critical social movements in American history for more than 115 years — from women’s empowerment and civil rights to affordable housing and pay equity, to violence prevention and health care reform.
