Zeni Kinetic is a Salt Lake City-based research services company focused on manufacturing 3D printer filament. It describes a reengineered production process that yields filament free from oils, residues, and other contaminants, while operating at lower temperatures to help preserve the molecular structure of the thermoplastics and promote consistent printing. The company serves the 3D printing ecosystem and has reached educational institutions through a pilot grant program that provides free or low-cost American-made filament to schools. This program indicates an early, project-driven approach to expanding access to filament for learning environments. The business appears to be run with a very small staff.
