Zonta Club of Syracuse (as well as Syracuse Zonta Foundation) is the Syracuse Chapter of Zonta International, a worldwide service organization of executives in business and the professions working together to advance the status of girls and women. Zonta International boasts more than 33,000 members in 1,254 clubs in 67 countries. Zonta Club of Syracuse has been actively promoting and fulfilling this mission since 1919. Our members have a passion for improving the status of women through advocacy. They volunteer their time, talent, energy and participate actively in Club projects, whether to raise money for the Club's annual scholarships, awards and grants, or to support to local women's'​ programs. Membership in Zonta is by invitation and is limited within classifications in order to maintain diversification among the businesses and professionals represented. Becoming a member of Zonta unites these executives in the pursuit of a common goal - to advance the status of women - giving them the collective strength to help individual women the world over reach their potential. Potential members are urged to register to attend one or two of our monthly dinner meetings held on the 4th Thursday of most months.
