The Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia is a government administration established by royal order in 2018 and based in ad Dir'iyah, in the Riyadh region. It is led by Prince Badr bin Abdullah Al Saud, the kingdom's first dedicated Minister of Culture. The ministry oversees eleven sector-specific commissions and is pursuing a cultural transformation intended to nurture creativity, unlock the cultural sector's economic potential, and expand new forms of expressive expression. Its broader aim is to enrich national identity and foster cultural dialogue both within the kingdom and with the world. Operating within the government sector, the ministry coordinates cultural policy and programs to support cultural organizations, researchers, and practitioners across the country. In 2026, it launched a cycle of subsidies and grants for Cultural Public Benefit Associations to strengthen support for cultural associations.
