24 Hours of LeMons runs a nationwide endurance racing series centered on affordable, track-ready cars purchased for $500 or less. Races typically feature 6+ hour endurance sessions on weekends, with a nightly pause for rest and basic needs, and there is at least one full 24-hour race each year. Up to 150 cars compete wheel-to-wheel, and teams are selected for creative themes and unusual vehicles. Based in Oakland, California, the organization began in 2006 as a single California race and has since grown into a nationwide series; spectators can purchase single-day or full-weekend passes. The series has drawn attention from major media outlets such as Car & Driver, ESPN, and the New York Times, and in 2018 announced Yokohama Tire Corporation as its official tire partner.
