2nd Chance is a specialist ‘education to employment’ training course created to support 18-24 year old unemployed young people on their journey into sustained employment. During our six month course we work with each individual on our programme to develop attitudes and skills to be successful in their first career job role. Young people work with us for three months as trainees focus on English, Maths and IT Functional Skills training; five employer-led projects, and working with their Career Coach to develop the attitudes that they need to be ready for work. After month three they graduate to become an associate of the course. At this point we offer a variety of opportunities to meet and work with a range of employers including a structured work experience programme, as well as continuing with the elements of months one to three. 2nd Chance has a 95% success rate of placing our graduates into full time work. Once a young person has graduated from the 2nd Chance programme, 12 months of mentoring is provided to ensure sustainable employment and help with any employment-related problems that may arise. 2nd Chance partners with dynamic and forward thinking businesses that range from big four accountancy firms to SME businesses in a variety of ways: • Partnering with 2nd Chance on employer-led projects as a part of our project-based learning educational model • Offering work placements to 2nd Chance Trainees • Retaining 2nd Chance as a recruitment provider • Volunteering opportunities with 2nd Chance To find out more about how you and your business can partner with 2nd Chance, contact 0203 405 3550 or visit our website 2ndchanceuk.org.
