4D Architects specializes in residential and commercial architecture for Seattle and the Greater Eastside. Founded by Seattle architect Barbara Pickens and Eastside designer Ben Mulder in 1985, 4D Architects is noted for its exceptional creativity and commitment to quality design. No wonder 4D’s projects have been recognized with many regional and national awards.

While we’re big on quality, we’ve kept our firm small. This means our principals can remain personally involved in your project. We are with you from the site selection through the building design, including interior design and site detailing. You’ll find that we’re good listeners and we foster a friendly, relaxed way of working together.

We’re committed to built-green practices to protect the environment. Our designs reflect the ecosystems and culture of the Pacific Northwest and no one knows the lay of the land better.
