AAL USA is the US industry leader in Russian-made helicopter operations, training, and maintenance services. AAL USA is the only three-tiered, independent, certified Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) with a presence in the United States that has: • Over 25 helicopters • A full service MRO facility • An advanced flight and maintenance training academy AAL USA’s headquarters office is located in Huntsville, AL with affiliated facilities in the UAE, Afghanistan, and South Africa—along with a significant number of smaller regional operating sites around the world. AAL USA’s core competencies are: • Modifications and Upgrades (Integration of Advanced Systems/Mission Equipment) • Operations (ACMI Leasing: Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) • Maintenance (“Line” and “Heavy” Maintenance Support, Inspections, etc.) • Depot Support Activities (Overhaul, Heavy Repair, BDAR, RTS, etc.) • Aircrew Flight Training (Ground School, Simulator, and Flight; Conversion/Refresher) • Maintainer Training (Conversion, Familiarization, and Refresher) • Flight Simulator Training, Development, and Procurement (Including NVG modification) • Procurement of Spare Parts, Special Tools, and Test Equipment • Repair of Repairables (Including Component Overhaul) AAL is fully certified to conduct all of the above services on the Mi-8/17 series of aircraft under the authority of multiple agencies. AAL is licensed by the aircraft’s OEM and Design Authority—Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant (MMHP) and the Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC). Our operations do include other helicopters as well, through our South African affiliate office we operate a fleet of AS-365 helicopters. All of AAL’s maintenance, depot services, operations, and training are further certified by various Civil Aviation Authorities and organizations to include the US DoD, and governments of Ukraine, South Africa, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, and Colombia- to name a few.
