A B K Construction Group, LLC is a licensed general contracting firm founded by Ben Abernathy. Mr. Abernathy has extensive experience in commercial and residential construction, to most recently, a new highly demanded industry of property preservation.

Mr. Abernathy was introduced to the construction industry in 1975 as a carpenter apprentice while attending college for construction management and engineering. He progressed from carpenter to foreman, super intendant, project manager to eventually president of SAC Construction. A leading commercial construction company in Fort Lauderdale during the 70's, 80's, 90's. In 1996, he relocated to Carbondale, Colarado where he expanded the business in residential development.

A B Knight Construction and Development, LLC is still active in this area under the direction of Tom Doogan, Managing Partner. In the last eight years, Mr. Abernathy has returned to Florida to maintain his business presence in the South Florida market.
