Expanding Renewable Portfolio ACEN Australia has a rapidly growing renewable energy portfolio with over 1 gigawatt (GW) of operational capacity and more than 13GW in development. This expansion presents opportunities for supply chain partners, technology providers, and service providers to support large-scale renewable projects across solar, wind, battery storage, and pumped hydro sectors.

Major Financing Activity With recent debt financing of approximately $750 million and ongoing investments in new projects, ACEN Australia demonstrates significant capital readiness for project development. Financial institutions and investors can explore strategic partnerships or financing solutions to support additional asset growth and project expansion.

Technology Adoption The company utilizes advanced technology platforms like Power Factors' Unity Asset Performance Management (APM) to optimize operational efficiency across 1.1GW of assets. This signals potential for vendors of asset management, monitoring solutions, and data analytics to collaborate and enhance renewable asset operations.

Strategic Asset Sales ACEN Australia recently divested assets, such as the Axedale project, indicating an openness to strategic partnerships or acquisitions. Businesses involved in project development, asset management, or renewable asset procurement could find opportunities for collaboration or future acquisition interest.

Market and Community Engagement Active community engagement and regional development partnerships, like with Mudgee for Rural Women's Day, highlight ACEN's focus on social license and local support. ACEN Australia is the platform representing ACEN’s renewable energy assets in Australia. With more than 1 gigawatt (GW) capacity of large scale renewable energy generation in construction and operations, and more than 13GW capacity in the development pipeline, its portfolio includes solar, wind, battery and pumped hydro projects across Australia.
New England Solar (Stage 1) in NSW is ACEN Australia’s first operational project. It is one of Australia’s largest solar projects participating in the National Electricity Market (NEM) and is the largest solar project in Australia to be financed on a fully merchant basis. Stubbo Solar in the NSW Central West Orana Renewable Energy Zone is ACEN Australia’s second project, which commenced construction in late 2022.
With 100+ employees and growing, our people are based in Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and West Australia.

A partner of UPC Renewables since 2018, ACEN (formerly AC Energy) increased its ownership in UPC\AC Renewables in 2021 to be 100% by early 2023. This acquisition marked a strategic pivot for ACEN, as the company embarked on its first wholly owned development and operations platform outside of the Philippines.

ACEN’s strong Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance underpins its interactions with its employees and partners, the communities we are part of and the environment that we all share. The Australian team will continue its work in contributing to Australia’s transition to a clean energy future.
