ACEN Australia serves as the platform for ACEN’s renewable energy assets in Australia and is based in Hobart, Tasmania. Its portfolio spans solar, wind, battery storage and pumped hydro, totaling more than 1 GW in construction and operation and more than 13 GW in the development pipeline. The company’s first operational project is New England Solar Stage 1 in New South Wales, one of the country’s largest solar facilities that participates in the National Electricity Market, with Stubbo Solar in the same state commencing construction in late 2022 as its second project. Its team is distributed across Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia, indicating a nationwide footprint. ACEN Australia represents ACEN’s strategic shift to a wholly owned development and operations platform outside the Philippines, following a long-standing partnership with UPC Renewables and attaining full ownership by early 2023. The organization emphasizes ESG performance in its interactions with staff, partners and communities as part of Australia’s transition to clean energy. In March 2025, ACEN Australia expanded its Bendigo-area development with the Axedale solar project and a 50 MW/100 MWh battery energy storage system.
