Founded in the late 1890s by the Solomon Family, ACME Block & Brick, Inc. began as ACME Block and Tile Company. The Solomon’s ran the business up until 1942, when an entrepreneur, A.J. Rivers, Sr., bought the company.

The company was originally designed to service the Roane County area but as of today, it has grown to cover a large area. ACME Block & Brick now serves Southern Kentucky throughout middle and eastern Tennessee and into northern Georgia. ACME is headquartered in Kingston, TN to provide a central location to operate an ever-growing block and brick business.

Today ACME Block and Brick is still owned and managed by the Rivers family. The product line that was once dedicated to the production of only top-quality concrete blocks has expanded through the years into a full-blown masonry and hardscapes superstore. ACME supplies everyone from the architect designing the project to the weekend do-it-yourselfer.
