Act for Kids is an Australian charity focused on keeping children safe and helping them heal from trauma, supporting young people who have experienced abuse or neglect. It provides professional therapy and early family support through a multidisciplinary team, including intensive therapy, sexual abuse counselling, safe houses in remote Indigenous communities, youth mentoring, family coaches, and a preschool for abused and neglected children with additional developmental needs. All of these services are provided at no charge to clients, improving access to care for children and families in need. Based in Milton, New South Wales, Act for Kids was established in 1988 and operates within the individual and family services sector. A recent development, in March 2026 the organization announced a partnership with the QCoal Group to deliver the Re-ACT CQ program, extending its reach to Central Queensland children who have experienced trauma.
