Government Ties Afilon uniquely positions itself as a government-focused strategy and systems engineering partner with established contract vehicles (TFBSO Seaport E Prime, Seaport Enhanced, TIPSS-3, CATS II) that can accelerate contracting and minimize procurement risk for agencies seeking modernization and stability operations.

Small Firm Agility With 2-10 employees, Afilon emphasizes specialized, high-touch execution in complex environments. This presents an opportunity to target agencies and prime contractors looking for nimble collaborators on strategic initiatives, rapid staffing ramps, and focused program support without large overhead.

National Security Focus The firm highlights strengths in national security, emergency response, and stability operations, suggesting potential fit for opportunities in defense modernization, crisis management, and resilience programs where small, expert teams can deliver rapid insights and actionable systems engineering.

Technical Versatility Afilon’s tech stack spans software, data formats, and design tools (C/C++, Android SDK, JSON, Visio, Adobe, Apache), indicating capacity to support cross-domain modernization projects, software integration, and engineering analyses for government clients and large primes seeking technical depth.

Strategic Partnerships Founders’ backgrounds with The National Academies, MITRE, Noblis, IITRI, and U.S. Institute of Peace signal strong thought leadership and credibility. This can be leveraged to pursue collaboration on joint proposals, advisory roles, and niche research-driven program support opportunities.
