Artists in Residence in Everglades (AIRIE)’s mission is to empowers artists to explore our relationship to the natural world.  We do this by curating a rich artist in residency experience in Everglades National Park, a subtropical wilderness and endangered UNESCO World Heritage site, and deploying AIRIE fellows for public impact in partnership with environmental and community organizations. 

AIRIE operates a residency program for visual artists, writers, choreographers and composers in the Everglades National Park so that those creative professionals may gain experience and insight into this fragile unique wilderness, thereby becoming ambassadors for its appreciation and preservation in ways that make the outdoors a place of belonging for all.
