AIRIE.Foundation, based in Miami, coordinates an artist-in-residence program inside Everglades National Park. The residency invites visual artists, writers, choreographers, and composers to engage with Everglades National Park, a subtropical wilderness and UNESCO World Heritage site, exploring the relationship between art and the natural world and emphasizing preservation. Through partnerships with environmental and community groups, AIRIE fellows translate the residency experience into public projects and outreach. The program exists at the intersection of the cultural sector and environmental stewardship and has maintained a long-standing collaboration with the National Park Service to host artists onsite for more than two decades. In 2022, AIRIE partnered with National Park Posters, reflecting ongoing efforts to broaden its partnerships and public engagement.
