The Aksarben Foundation, based in Omaha, Nebraska, is a nonprofit network of business and community leaders dedicated to preserving and expanding prosperity in heartland communities through education, workforce development, and civic projects. It operates through partnerships among private, public, and philanthropic sectors and acts as a coordinating hub to advance these initiatives. By bringing together local employers, civic figures, and residents, the foundation seeks to identify workforce and educational needs and foster collaborative solutions. It has launched two major initiatives—the Nebraska Tech Collaborative, which aims to broaden educational opportunities from PK-12 onward, upskill the existing workforce, and attract technology talent, and Northeast Nebraska Growing Together, which focuses on downtown revitalization, co-op scholarships, and connecting seniors with local business opportunities in Northeast Nebraska, including Norfolk. In April 2026, the foundation released an updated technology workforce dashboard through a collaboration with Red Branch Media and Lightcast, providing demographic and job data on Nebraska's tech employment.
