Alabama Arise is a statewide nonprofit, nonpartisan coalition of 150 congregations and community groups and individual members united in their belief that low-income people are suffering because of state policy decisions. Through policy, advocacy and organizing, we work to make state policies that work for everyone - including:

-Adequate funding for state services like education, health care, housing, public transit and the justice system  
-Tax reform to ensure we raise revenue fairly
-Payday and title lending reform
-Protecting safety net programs
