ALDI Magyarország operates as the Hungarian arm of the ALDI SOUTH group, a discount retailer represented in many countries through legally independent companies. As part of the ALDI SOUTH group, the Hungarian entity connects to a broader workforce of more than 149,000 employees across 11 countries on four continents. In December 2025, Aldi Hungary announced plans to open a new location in downtown Budapest and to establish its own Christmas market.
