Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service is a local charity based in Maidenhead, Berkshire, that provides specialist care and vital support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and to their families, across Berkshire and the surrounding counties. Care is delivered from the charity’s hospice in Maidenhead as well as in family homes and community settings, including hospitals and schools. The organization offers a range of services, including respite care, specialist play, symptom management, family support, end-of-life care and bereavement support. It currently supports more than 200 children and their families and aims to broaden access to its services. Founded by John and Fiona Devine in memory of their son Alexander, who died in 2006 from a rare brain tumour, the charity operates within the local fundraising sector to support its care provision. In 2025, it was recognised as Charity of the Year.
