Alexandra House is a Minnesota-based nonprofit that provides shelter and support for people affected by domestic and sexual violence. Founded in 1977 by a group of concerned citizens as the Anoka County Task Force for Battered Women, it established a 24-hour crisis line and opened its first emergency shelter in 1980. Its Blaine facility now accommodates up to 35 residents, including male children up to age 18, and the organization serves clients in Blaine and Anoka while reaching victims statewide.
