Alexandra House is a Minnesota-based nonprofit that provides shelter and support for people affected by domestic and sexual violence. Founded in 1977 by a group of concerned citizens as the Anoka County Task Force for Battered Women, it established a 24-hour crisis line and opened its first emergency shelter in 1980.
