All That Matters was founded in 1995 on Main Street in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, by Joan Dwyer and Jeanne Wettlaufer – two mothers passionate about yoga, meditation, nourishing food, healthy living, and world peace. With a yoga teacher, a massage therapist, and a few volunteers, All That Matters opened its doors and heart to welcome in the local community. Guided since 2005 by Joan Dwyer, All That Matters Yoga and Holistic Health Centers now offer more than 130 weekly yoga and meditation classes – plus workshops and professional trainings – in three Rhode Island locations: Providence, East Greenwich and South Kingstown. The South Kingstown center includes a retail store as well as health services, from acupuncture and chiropractic to massage and spa treatments. After 21 years, All That Matters’ original mission – to educate, inspire, and support the community to continually grow toward and maintain optimal health and wellbeing – continues to direct the organization.
