Originally founded in 1988 in Birch River, West Virginia, Allegheny Surveys, Inc. is a land-surveying firm that provides the surveying and mapping needs of many Government, Corporate and Private Clients, both local and regional.  Allegheny Surveys has since expanded with offices in Bridgeport and Charleston, WV.

The firm specializes in all aspects of Surveying which include boundary surveys, control surveys, high-accuracy monitoring surveys, underground and surface mine surveys, construction surveys and topographic surveying.  Allegheny Surveys has permitted horizontal wells in the Marcellus and other Shale formations for the largest producers of natural gas in the region.  Through its partnership with its sister company, Hornor Brothers Engineers of Clarksburg, it is offering site design, lay-out and construction inspection services to its clients as well.  Allegheny Surveys also uses Terrestrial, UAV LiDAR and Mobile 3D Scanning systems to safely and efficiently collect Laser Scan data for producing survey maps of large areas and difficult to access areas.

Allegheny Surveys currently has forty (45) employees in three offices, and the capacity to field ten survey crews.  It also employs nine Professional Surveyors among the three offices whose licensure extends to WV, VA, OH, PA, KY, TN and NC.
