The business was first started under a different name in 1987. Lary Shaughnessey opened the business on Islington Street in Portsmouth, NH growing our local clientele. After retiring in 1997, Lary passed the business onto his two step-sons Cary and Steve Chaisson. 

Cary and Steve have been co-owners for over 18 years and now own two Allegra locations, Bedford and Portsmouth New Hampshire, making Allegra Central NH. The businesses and nonprofits in and around the  Portsmouth area are the lifeblood of what we do and we continue to promise that we will work hard to enhance the value of our clients business or organization.
