Allentown Rescue Mission is a nonprofit organization based in Allentown, Pennsylvania, focused on addressing homelessness among men. It delivers a trio of programs—the Emergency Shelter, the Transformation Program, and the Clean Team Workforce—that together provide shelter, meals, clothing, medical access, and pathways to employment. During the COVID-19 period, the Emergency Shelter operated around the clock to ensure safety and access to services for men over 18, with a commitment to inclusivity regardless of background. The Transformation Program is a residential, non-denominational initiative that tackles root causes through individualized assessment, guidance, and life-skills training aimed at job literacy and long-term independence, while graduates can participate in the Clean Team Workforce to gain work experience and build savings. The organization has operated for more than a century, adapting its programs to shifting causes of homelessness. In 2021, Allentown Rescue Mission launched an I AM billboard campaign to broaden community awareness of its work.
