The Alley Theatre is a Houston-based performing arts organization with a history spanning more than seven decades. It presents a diverse repertoire that includes new works, classics, rediscovered and rarely performed pieces, and new musical theatre, with a focus on contemporary American writing.

The company maintains a year-round resident ensemble of actors, designers, artisans, and craftspeople, supported by a 75,000-square-foot Center for Theatre Production adjacent to the venues. Its mission is to deepen understanding of people and the world by uniting theatre artists and audiences to experience stories that illuminate life's breadth and complexity. In 2025, the organization announced the appointment of Jennifer Bielstein as Managing Director, effective October 2025.
