Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy (ACGT) is a U.S.-based public charity dedicated to funding cancer cell and gene therapy research. Founded in 2001, it seeks to move translational research toward patient-accessible therapies by identifying and supporting work at leading institutions across the United States and Canada. Its focus includes advancing approaches to solid tumors, such as pancreatic and brain cancers, to broaden the impact of cell- and gene-based treatments. The organization is based in Stamford, Connecticut, and operates with a relatively small staff. In 2025 it hosted its annual scientific summit and, at its Gala Awards Luncheon, presented the Edward Netter Leadership Award to Steven A. Rosenberg, MD, PhD, a noted figure in immunotherapy. It notes that 100% of public donations directly support frontline scientists and programs.
