Alliant Partners is an investment banking and advisory firm serving middle-market technology companies globally.  Founded in 2017, the firm is reviving the Alliant name--and the premise that clients deserve personalized, hands-on advice on M&A and capital raising transactions from deeply experienced professionals. 

Alliant's founders have more than 60 years' combined experience, solely focused on advising technology companies,  and they have closed more than 300 transactions, comprising mergers, acquisitions, private placements of equity and debt, public financings, divestures, spin-offs and corporate partnerships.  Their experience traverses key sectors of the technology industry, including software/SaaS, communications equipment, wireless infrastructure, mobile, semiconductors, test and measurement, Internet infrastructure, B2C, B2B, services and integrated systems.

The Alliant name is synonymous with client-centered technology investment banking.  Originally co-founded in 1992 by Jim Kochman,  Alliant grew to be one of the leading advisors to technology companies and was acquired by Silicon Valley Bank in 2001.  The original Alliant  ceased operations in 2005,  but Jim Kochman and Scott Roth, colleagues at Pagemill Partners, felt that the  Alliant name embodied the values and foundation upon which their new firm, "new" Alliant Partners, was created.  Together, they share a vision for new Alliant as a pre-eminent advisor to leading technology companies and their investors.
