ALSO (Alliance of Local Service Organizations) is a civic and social organization based in Chicago, founded in 1998 to coordinate services for youth and families in the Logan Square community. The group initially focused on preventing street violence, expanding its scope over time to address intimate partner violence as well, and recognizing connections between public and private forms of violence. Today, ALSO operates locally and engages with national partners to inform its work from a Chicago perspective while contributing knowledge and best practices from across the country to its neighborhoods.
