Alsum Farms grows 3,000 acres of Wisconsin Healthy Grown® Certified potatoes and has dedicated land to pollinator habitat and prairie restoration to cultivate a sustainably grown food supply along the lower Wisconsin River Valley in Arena and Spring Green and in the central sands in Adams and Grand Marsh, Wis. Founded in 1973, Alsum Farms & Produce, a second-generation family-owned-and-operated farm, involves Larry Alsum working alongside several family members including his two daughters. Alsum Farms grows russets, reds, golds and specialty potatoes in a sustainable, eco-friendly manner. Today, Alsum Farms grows four times as many potatoes as we did 25 years ago using less land, energy, water and fewer emissions per acre grown. With over 150,000 square feet of production and warehouse facilities and an average of 225 full-time employees, Alsum Farms & Produce is a national distributor of Wisconsin potatoes and onions. Alsum also distributes a full-line of 300 fruits and vegetables in the Midwest, along with locally grown produce. Alsum Transport and their fleet of over 30 tractors and 60 refrigerated trailers delivers the highest quality produce to retail and foodservice customers locally and throughout the nation.
