Established in 1937, the Idaho Potato Commission’s (IPC) mission is to contribute to the economic welfare of the state, its growers and other potato-related businesses through marketing, advertising and promoting Idaho’s “Famous Potatoes,” and to protect the Idaho® potato registered trademark and certification marks. The IPC invests in research to improve quality, increase yield and introduce new potato varieties. The IPC also works with other Idaho® potato organizations and federal and state agencies to expand Idaho® potato forms, including fresh and processed, in the United States and internationally. The Idaho Potato Commission prides itself on delivering a superior quality of potatoes. Idaho’s ideal growing conditions of warm days and cool nights, ample mountain-fed irrigation and rich volcanic soil give Idaho® potatoes their unique texture, taste and dependable performance. To be sure you're getting genuine, top-quality Idaho® potatoes, look for the "Grown In Idaho" seal.
