The American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is a nonprofit professional association that represents medical residents, fellows, and board-certified surgeons who specialize in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck. The majority of its members are certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, with credentialing that includes facial plastic and reconstructive procedures, and by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. The academy, which has more than 2,000 members, describes itself as the largest international association for facial plastic surgeons and the only organization focused exclusively on advancing this field. It is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and maintains a staff consistent with a mid-sized nonprofit organization; its official website is aafprs.org. 

The organization serves an international community of facial plastic surgeons and residents, focusing on professional development and the advancement of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. In September 2025, Anthony E. Brissett, MD, FACS, was named president for the 2025–2026 term.
