AFMDA is a U.S.-based nonprofit that raises support to back Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical and blood services organization. Founded in 1940 and based in New York City, AFMDA mobilizes American donors to fund emergency vehicles, medical equipment, training, and technology for MDA’s operations across Israel and the areas of Judaea and Samaria. MDA runs Israel’s pre-hospital emergency medical system, oversees blood collection and processing, and coordinates mass casualty response for more than 9.5 million residents and citizens, supported by a dispatch network and a national blood center. 
AFMDA connects American donors with MDA’s life-saving work, supporting its network of more than 200 EMS stations across Israel and the Judaea and Samaria region. In 2024 AFMDA entered into a partnership with the American Red Cross, reflecting collaboration within the broader disaster-response community.
