The American Overseas School of Rome is an international Pre-K through 12 school based in Rome, Lazio, established in 1947. Its student body is about 600 strong, with roughly one-third American, one-third Italian, and the remaining third from more than 57 other countries. The school is fully accredited by the Middle States Association and was the first international school to earn its International Credential. It offers a challenging curriculum that includes both International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement programs, delivered in small classes with a faculty dedicated to student achievement. It emphasizes a multicultural environment with strong programs in the arts, sports, and extracurriculars, and uses Rome's history and culture to support hands-on learning; the school is also a member of RISA, CIS, and ECIS.
