The American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB) is a United States–based professional society dedicated to advancing plant sciences. It supports the field by publishing two scholarly journals and by organizing conferences and other activities that promote scientific progress. Membership is open to anyone worldwide engaged in the full spectrum of plant science research, from fundamental studies to applied work. The society serves plant scientists across academia, industry, pharmacology, government, nonprofits, and research organizations by providing venues for scholarly communication and professional development.

Based in the United States, ASPB operates within the research services landscape as a membership-based organization that brings together the plant-science community through journals and events. It maintains a mid-sized staff and continually supports researchers globally through its publications and gatherings. A recent development is the appointment of Hong Ma as president in October 2024.
