Since 1975, American University’s award-winning Chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has been dedicated to bringing advertising, public relations, marketing, and communication students together both professionally and socially.

Our members create large networks on campus and across the nation. American University PRSSA opens doors, granting student members access to exclusive internships, scholarships, firm site-visits, and guest speakers.

We strive to ensure our students are able to explore all facets of the communication field before leaving the classroom. Our on-campus events feature PR leaders working in entertainment, sports, non-profit, public affairs, crisis, and political communications.

Our Chapter has played host to multiple regional and national conferences over the years, most recently co-hosting the 2014 PRSSA National Conference.

Our Mission
We work to connect the public relations, advertising, marketing, and communication professionals of the future with the resources, mentors, and networks that will benefit them far into their futures after they have graduated.
