Joseph H. Claudon and his father, D. N. Claudon, began a general insurance agency in Valparaiso, Indiana, in 1939. With the addition of son-in-law Charles Anderson in 1945 and of grandsons William and Barth Anderson in 1977, Anderson Insurance celebrates four generations of the family business.

In 2008, Anderson Insurance joined Keystone Insurers Group, a Pennsylvania based provider of insurance products and services. This arrangement gives our agency tremendous opportunities for providing our clients with products, markets, services, and pricing preference that would normally not be available to us. Through this association, we have been able to expand our services resulting in our clients being the beneficiaries. Keystone operates in 7 states and is ranked No. 4 on Insurance Journal's Top 100 Agencies list. Anderson Insurance is the only Keystone partner in Porter County, IN.
