In March, 2008, Dan Ramsdell formed the Association of Plaintiff Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America (APITLA), a national association of committed lawyers who have joined together to help eliminate unsafe and illegal interstate trucking practices. Devastating physical injury and often death due to unsafe trucking companies has become a national epidemic on our nation’s highways. After years of watching these numbers increase, Dan Ramsdell felt compelled to take action to reduce these horrors. Serving as APITLA’s National Director, Dan Ramsdell leads this association in accomplishing its mission through the three tools of learning, litigation and legislation. APITLA puts on some of the finest legal conferences in the nation in the area of interstate trucking litigation and works hard to educate its members in this complex area of the law.

APITLA hopes to bring about change by educating the general public, other lawyers, law students, legislators, truck lines, truck drivers, judges and juries about the hard facts surrounding common unsafe or illegal trucking practices and procedures in America today. Dan Ramsdell and APITLA members across the country are working hard to make this nation’s highways a safer place for all Americans.
