For more than 35 years, the APL GmbH located in Landau, Germany has provided high quality and cutting-edge powertrain engineering support to an international customer base from automotive-, aviation- and mineral oil industry.

Of the 1500 highly qualified and motivated employees of the APL Group, 1000 of them work at APL GmbH and use the most modern testing equipment and facilities on a daily basis. This includes nearly 300 engine, gearbox, drivetrain, chassis dyno, battery cell, battery module and battery pack test stands as well as the new fuel cell and H2 combustion engine test facility located at our headquarters in Landau, Germany. 

Coupled with innovative development tools, test methods as well as complete solutions for test stands and measurement equipment, we deliver the highest quality powertrain development and validation service to our customers thus shaping tomorrow’s mobility. 

Considering the value chain the development portfolio of the APL comprises besides design and simulation also the development and calibration of combustion processes, exhaust after-treatment systems and electrification strategies as well as the optimization of all emission relevant influences and parameters under real driving conditions – an optimized turn-key solution for every
