Appalachian Regional Healthcare System is a regional health system based in Boone, North Carolina, serving the High Country. It operates three hospitals, fifteen medical practices, a cancer center, a heart and vascular center, a pain management center, a physical therapy rehabilitation and wellness center, and a healthcare foundation. The network provides inpatient and outpatient services across multiple specialties as part of UNC Health Appalachian. In March 2026, the system expanded access with the Avery Specialty Clinic opening in Linville, North Carolina. The Linville location broadens the regional footprint for specialty care in northern North Carolina.
