Aquilis is the IT department that you do not have. Aquilis was a business that served the IT consulting industry, specifically MSP, throughout the greater Pittsburgh area. Aquilis had a secondary business, Aquilis Computers, which served the residential computing industry and sole proprietorships. Aquilis was founded in 2007 by Nicholas Aquilante III. In 2009 upon opening their first location, Nick Aquilante Jr. stepped in as a partner. After returning from Penn State University, University Park in 2012, the business began to grow as it separated in two-parts, MSP and IT Consulting & Retail Residential Computer Sales and Repair. In 2014, the main location on Babcock Boulevard in Pittsburgh was opened. This location served both residential and commercial clients. In 2015, helpdesk operations out of Cranberry Township Pennsylvania began. MSP from here on out became the main focus of Aquilis, LLC. In 2019 Nicholas III stepped away as his family began to grow - and he began a career at UPMC - the largest local hospital system in Pittsburgh. This was also at the beginning of COVID-19. In 2022, upon birth of his son Dominic, he gradually returned to the business. In 2023, Nicholas took over the Lead IT Infrastructure Specialist for the company - performing massive upgrades, transitions to Microsoft 365 and more. His father, Nick Jr. then had plans to retire. Upon the Retirement of Nick Jr., Nicholas III made a personal decision to pursue his own personal career in IT. The MSP & Help Desk side of the business was sold off to a local company in Cranberry Township, PA. The retail side slowly ended operations as well. Today, Nick Jr. is a full-time grandfather to his grandchildren, Gianna, Christopher and Dominic. However, he still does his second business, which is lawn care in the area. Nicholas lives in Morgantown,WV and is pursuing his professional care career in IT. For 17 Years - The business was a successful business from 2007 until 2024.
