We Transform Urban Landscapes. For almost 40 years, A&R Development has been a developer, owner, and investor in real estate. Since our founding, A&R Development has developed more than 50 projects valued at over $900 million and, in doing so, we have come to understand how to complete projects in a way that mitigates risk and optimizes long-term success. As a result of our experience, we are experts in the intricacies of real estate development in urban centers, including public-private partnerships, financing (including both conventional and tax credit financing), entitlement, transit-oriented master planning, and community coordination. A&R Development takes a long-term approach to development, ownership and investment. Our business model requires long-term vision and thorough planning that considers every aspect of development, including bringing on the right partners. Today, we have several exciting projects in the pipeline including Capitol Gateway, a complex multi-phased master planning project that is transforming a major gateway to Washington, D.C. As part of this project, we have already completed the development and sale of 380 homes and a senior building. The next phase will add over 300 apartments, 18,000 square feet of retail, and a Walmart.
