Archi-Tectonics is a global design studio founded in 1998 by Winka Dubbeldam and co-led with partner Justin Korhammer since 2016. Headquartered in New York City with offices in Los Angeles, and Hangzhou, the firm is currently engaged in more than 250,000 sqm of new developments across North America and Europe, including a 31-story residential superblock and urban forest in Albania. Our work is defined by a design approach rooted in research, prototyping, and performance. We use advanced generative tools, extensive testing, and close collaboration with engineers, fabricators, and manufacturers to create adaptable, high-efficiency buildings and environments. This process allows us to move beyond conventional construction standards and develop customized, economic solutions at every scale. We understand buildings as active, evolving systems. By treating architecture, landscape, and infrastructure as interconnected, we create hybrid structures and organic spatial systems that respond to climate, program, and community needs. Our goal is to design environments that support human and ecological wellbeing while addressing complex 21st-century challenges. Archi-Tectonics’ work is widely recognized through exhibitions at the Venice Architecture Biennale, Aedes Berlin, MoMA, and other global venues. Winka has presented at COP Dubai, CTBUH Singapore, UIA Copenhagen, AIA New York, and TED Edinburgh. The firm’s projects and research appear in five monographs and have received honors including the CTBUH Award of Excellence, the Luban Prize, Architizer A+ Awards, The Plan Award, and multiple AIANY distinctions. Archi-Tectonics is a certified Women Business Enterprise in New York State.
