Architectural Resources Group is a mid-sized architectural practice based in San Francisco, with offices in Los Angeles and Portland, focused on the built environment through a preservation- and context-driven lens. Founded in 1980, the firm provides a full range of services that span preservation, adaptive reuse, sustainable design, conservation, planning, historical research, and materials conservation. Its approach is informed by expertise in preservation policy and standards and a commitment to developing creative design solutions that respond to historic contexts while advancing contemporary needs.

Public agencies and heritage organizations form the core of its client base, as the firm works to protect historic resources and guide sensitive development. In 2021, Architectural Resources Group was contracted by Los Angeles City Planning to develop a Historical Housing and Land Use Study. Recent collaborations include a partnership with the Los Angeles Conservancy and the World Monuments Fund, established in early 2025, to document and support recovery efforts for historic sites impacted by wildfires, including a mapping project to chart these impacts.
