Area Temps, Inc. operates as a staffing and recruiting firm serving employers and job seekers in the Greater Cleveland area. Founded in 1987, the company has placed roughly 250,000 employees with local Northeast Ohio companies. Based in Independence, Ohio, the firm blends the reach of a larger staffing organization with the personalized service of a local provider. Its stated objective is to become a single-source staffing partner by delivering high-quality service and innovative staffing solutions.

Area Temps operates a City Search Applicant Network that links its three branch locations and provides access to over 80,000 candidates who have been personally interviewed and performance-rated. The candidate evaluation process combines skill-specific interviews, online testing, and both internal and client-generated performance ratings, allowing higher-rated individuals to be prioritized for assignments. On-site visits by account representatives enable tailored solutions, with staffing supervisors having personally met, interviewed, and evaluated every referred candidate. The firm emphasizes value through customized orientation and training resources and offers an unconditional guarantee. In 2017, Area Temps moved its Cleveland and corporate offices to the Freedom Square III building in Independence, reflecting an expansion of its facilities.
