The Arkansas Department of Emergency Management (ADEM) is Arkansas' Homeland Security and Preparedness Agency.

ADEM is lead agency for the State of Arkansas for all natural and man-made disasters that occur in the state.  In addition, ADEM serves at the State Administrative Agency for a number of Federal Grant Programs awarded to the state.  These grant programs include the State Homeland Security Grant Program, Chemical Stockpile Emergency Preparedness Program, Hazard Mitigation Program and others.
