The ARM Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing robotics and related autonomous systems for current and future manufacturing. It brings together a wide network of industry partners, academia, and government entities to accelerate the development and adoption of these technologies, with the aim of making them more accessible to U.S. manufacturers of all sizes. The institute also prioritizes workforce development to prepare the manufacturing labor pool for automation and to bolster the strength and resilience of the economy and national security.

Based in Pittsburgh and part of the Manufacturing USA network, the ARM Institute operates with support from the U.S. Department of Defense. It is positioned to play a leading role as the planned lead tenant at Hazelwood Green, a hub intended to transform U.S. manufacturing. In January 2026, it launched an Education & Workforce Development Project Call enabling ARM Institute Members to apply for and undergo an endorsement evaluation for training programs that teach robotics skills at no cost.
