The Army Historical Foundation is a nonprofit organization established in 1983 and based in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. It funds and supports efforts to preserve and interpret the history of the U.S. Army, including refurbishing historic Army buildings, acquiring and conserving military art and artifacts, and backing education programs, historical research, and publications about the American Soldier. Two memorandums of agreement with the Army designated AHF as the National Museum of the United States Army's official fundraiser, with the 2015 agreement also assigning construction and completion of the museum's design to the foundation. In May 2026, Army Historical Foundation announced a partnership with Histovery to present American Revolution: The Augmented Exhibition, an immersive experience developed with the National Museum of the United States Army. The project is presented by the Army Historical Foundation in partnership with the National Museum of the United States Army and the French technology company Histovery.
