Asian Neighborhood Design (AND) operates in the architecture and planning field with a mission to reduce poverty and revitalize Bay Area neighborhoods by expanding opportunities for low‑income residents to become economically self‑sufficient. Based in San Francisco, California, the organization serves communities across the Bay Area. A key program is a 14‑week green construction and solar training track for at‑risk youth and adults, offered through its Employment Training Center. Through Architecture Services, AND has designed and renovated millions of square feet and thousands of affordable housing units, and has improved health clinics, child care facilities, neighborhood centers, and hundreds of retail storefront facades in underserved commercial corridors.
