Oil and GasUnited States0-1 Employees

Aspen Engineering Services offers unique technology to the oil and gas industry. Aspen's technologies provide regulatory compliance while improving operational efficiency, and provide additional revenue to the producer. Solutions include:

NGL PRO

Aspen Engineering Services offers a cost-effective solution for flare reduction, gas conditioning and NGL recovery. The NGL Pro process integrates dehydration, compression, cooling and conditioning, eliminating the need for costly glycol and refrigeration systems. Hydrate formation is precluded by a heat integration system. Consequently, no antifreeze additives are required.

The NGL Pro process can be coupled with the LNG-Pure process to co-produce LNG and NGL, and thereby minimize flaring. Sites that can consume the residue gas for power will eliminate flaring completely.

Fuel Gas Conditioning (FGC)

FGC is a simple and cost-effective process that conditions fuel gas for natural gas engines from any rich field gas regardless of the BTU content. The process exploits the fact that the engine gas consumption is a small fraction of the compressor throughput. Compressed gas is split into two streams: a cooling gas stream and a fuel gas stream.

CRUDE OIL STABILIZATION AND RECOVERY*

Conventional remedies to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency’s Quad O regulations do nothing to stabilize volatile crude oil from new shale plays. A vapor recovery unit is one solution to comply with Quad O regulations, but valuable liquids are lost. Further, the vapor recovery unit does nothing to stabilize the crude oil. The Crude Oil Stabilization and Recovery (COSR) process provides compliance with the Quad O regulation while simultaneously solving the crude oil volatility problem. COSR allows oil to be transported from cold climates to warm climates without fear of the truck or railcar becoming over-pressurized. Finally, emissions and volatility problems are solved while providing a large financial benefit to the producer.
